The Toyota GR Supra is the pure essence of a sports car. Some enthusiasts take issue with its close similarity to the BMW Z4. However, when judged on its merits, the newest iteration of the Supra delivers a thrilling driving experience and head-turning styling to make it live up to its name.
The latest Toyota GR Supra is available in a few different trims so that you can choose your level of luxury and performance. Let’s look at what you can expect to pay for a 2024 Toyota GR Supra in its entry-level and fully loaded forms.
How much does an entry-level 2024 Toyota GR Supra cost?
The 2024 Toyota GR Supra starts at $45,540. That gets you the base 2.0 model. The GR Supra 2.0 is the only trim with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It produces 255 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, and Toyota estimates a quick 0-60 mph time of 5.0 seconds.
Just a few standard features that come with the base Supra include 18-inch aluminum wheels, black Alcantara/leather-trimmed seats, a carbon fiber interior trim, an 8.8-inch digital gauge cluster, an 8.8-inch infotainment screen with Supra Command, and a complimentary one-year membership to the National Auto Sport Association, including one High-Performance Driving Experience. There’s a Safety & Technology Package ($3,485) available which includes various safety features like adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and parking sensors, plus navigation and a JBL audio system.
As you likely notice, the Toyota GR Supra has a higher starting price than more affordable sports cars like the Nissan Z and Mazda MX-5 Miata. That’s because it’s a premium sports car, even in the base trim.
Most enthusiasts will want to upgrade to the 3.0 model, starting at $54,500. The big upgrade compared to the 2.0 model is under the hood. It’s powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six engine, rated at 382 hp and 368 lb-ft of torque. Toyota says it hustles from 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds. Other upgrades include an adaptive variable sport suspension system, Brembo brakes, an active rear sport differential, chassis braces in the engine bay, and power seats with a memory driver’s seat. A six-speed manual transmission is also a no-cost option. Similar to the 2.0 model, a Safety & Technology Package is available.
The most popular trim in the Supra lineup is the 3.0 Premium model, starting at $57,650. On top of the performance upgrades you get with the 3.0 model, it adds heated seats, a JBL 12-speaker audio system, sport pedals, a head-up display, a wireless charging pad, and red brake calipers. A Driver Assist Package is available, adding full-speed adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors. Unfortunately, there’s no adaptive cruise feature if you opt for the manual.
The features and add-ons of the 45th Anniversary Edition Supra
The top trim of the 2024 Toyota GR Supra is the 45th Anniversary Edition starting at $64,375. Obviously, the Supra hasn’t been in continuous production for that long. This special edition commemorates the 45th anniversary of the original 1979 Toyota Supra.
The 45th Anniversary Edition is largely an appearance package for the 3.0 Premium trim. It has the same engine and many of the same luxury and tech features. The big difference is a unique stripe package, matte-black forged-aluminum wheels, a manually adjustable rear spoiler, black brake calipers, and orange strut tower braces. As for the paint, it’s available in Absolute Zero (white) or Mikan Blast (orange), which is unique to this trim. There are no option packages available at this trim level.
A fully-loaded 2024 Toyota GR Supra 45th Anniversary Edition, including the destination fee, comes to $69,360. Since this trim is unique to the 2024 model year, that’s worth every penny to the right buyer.
