Wait for a second. The Hyundai Palisade is already receiving a makeover? It feels like this SUV just hit the scene, and it arrived in 2020. It doesn’t seem old and outdated at all, but the 2023 Hyundai Palisade will have fresh new features either way.

According to AutoBlog, the 2023 Hyundai Palisade is due for an update. Based on the spy photos, it’s a mild update, but it includes some interesting changes. The vehicle is heavily covered with camouflage, but we can still gather a few clues. 

It looks like the front fascia will be significantly changed. For example, the grille shows solid pieces like the grilles on the Hyundai Tucson and Hyundai Santa Cruz. So, the Palisade could match its siblings. 

The upper daytime running lights might be integrated closer to the grille, and parts of it may illuminate, which is a feature found on other Hyundai models. The front bumper could also feature a revised shape. 

Camouflage covers the sides of the Palisade too, so it could have a sharper shape. The taillights and rear bumper are hidden from view, so the rear end could match the Tuscon as well. 

Does the 2023 Palisade have more power? 

The 2023 Hyundai Palisade is expected to use the same 3.8-liter V6 engine with 291 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. However, there are rumors about a hybrid Palisade in the works, and we can’t count out a fully electric model. 

The current engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. While front-wheel drive is standard, the Palisade can be equipped with all-wheel drive. 

When properly equipped, the Palisade can tow up to 5,000 lbs. It doesn’t exactly need more power as it can haul smaller campers and boats. Plus, the towing package includes a seven-pin trailer wiring system, trailer sway control, and a transmission oil cooler. 

The Hyundai Palisade can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 7.6 seconds and features smooth transmission shifts. It’s not a sporty speed demon, but it can pass others with confidence. 

How much does the 2023 Palisade cost?

The 2023 Hyundai Palisade could go up in price by a few hundred to a few thousand dollars, depending on how comprehensive its refresh is. The 2022 Palisade starts at about $33,350. This is the MSRP and doesn’t include the destination fee. 

If the price increases we hope to see some interior improvements. However, the interior is already crafted with high-quality materials for an upscale feeling. One drawback includes the amount of wind noise that enters the cabin at highway speeds, though. 

The standard 8.0-inch infotainment system could be dropped. As a result, each trim could be equipped with a 10.3-inch unit. Plus, an even larger screen could become available. Perhaps wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be available. 

We will keep you updated as we learn more. The 2023 Palisade should be available by the end of summer, and we can’t wait to get behind the wheel.
