Cadillac announced the 2024 CT4 is on the way with some changes to the compact luxury car. Early rumors hinted at a model refresh, but that won’t happen until at least 2025. Regardless, the 2024 model has a few updates that might make the latest CT4 worth waiting for over the 2023 model. 

2023 Cadillac CT4 overview

Most of the current Cadillac CT4 features will carry over to the 2024 model. The 2023 version has three trim levels ranging in price from $35,040 to $46,465, including the destination charge. Buyers can choose rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. 

The base-model Luxury packs a 2.0-liter twin-scroll turbocharged engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Amenities include a 12-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, wireless phone charging, lane-keep assist with lane departure warning, lane change alert with side blind zone alert, a rear seat reminder, and more.

Higher trim levels offer more powerful engines, such as a 2.0-liter turbo-four and a 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Shoppers can also add several packages to the CT4. They include lighting, interior protection, and climate upgrades. And a power sunroof is available for $1,050.

The 2024 Cadillac CT4 will bring only a couple of notable changes

The most significant difference between the 2023 and 2024 models will be the CT4’s pricing. It should come as no surprise that the newer version will cost more.

According to GM Authority, the CT4 Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport trims will increase by $200. And the two high-performance V-Series models — the CT4-V and CT4-V Blackwing — will cost $500 and $1,000 more. The price range for the 2024 model will range from $35,990 to $66,065.

The Onyx package will also add some new features. GM Authority reports that some features will be available only on certain trim levels. The Onyx package brings 19-inch alloy wheels with a Gloss Black finish, a Gloss Black CT4 nameplate, black mirror caps, a black grille, monochrome Cadillac emblems (Luxury), a rear spoiler (Luxury and Premium Luxury), and a black spoiler (Sport).

The Onyx package is added at the dealership rather than the factory, which makes purchasing this option much easier. Buyers won’t have to special-order the 2024 CT4 and wait months for it to be built.

What’s new for the 2024 CT4-V high-performance models?

The 2024 Cadillac CT4-V and CT4-Blackwing won’t have a ton of changes. They’ll primarily consist of four new paint options: Velocity Red, Cyber Yellow Metallic, Coastal Blue Metallic, and Black Diamond Tricoat. 

The 2024 CT4-V Blackwing will retain its desirable features, including the twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6 harnessing 472 hp and 445 lb-ft of torque. It can be paired with a 10-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission.

The interior is almost the same as the lower trims, except for carbon-fiber trim, microsuede accents, 18-way power-adjustable seats, and heated cushions. Further seating upgrades include premium cushioning, ventilation, and lumbar massage.

The 2024 Cadillac CT4 is not in production yet but will soon begin in July. Given that the new model won’t bring significant changes, buyers might be better off choosing the cheaper 2023 model unless they want one of the new exterior colors. The other option is to wait for the highly anticipated 2025 model.
