New Dodge Charger To Be Revealed March 5th
The upcoming Dodge Charger is landing in hostile territory. Many of the Mopar faithful bill it as a high-voltage abomination. That, or they dismiss the probably Hurricane inline-six models as less than in the muscle car landscape. Despite some of the more common complaints, the Charger is back for 2025, and Dodge will unveil it to the world on the 5th of March.

Dodge confirmed that it will unveil the next-generation Charger on the fifth of March. It’s exciting news for open-minded muscle car fans. Given the extinguished lineup of the LD-platform Charger and LA-platform Challenger, it’s a bit of a blessing.
However, the new Dodge Charger will be the most dramatic dichotomy in the nameplate’s history. Gone is the library of naturally aspirated (N/A) and supercharged V8s from its lineup. So, too, is the four-door platform. Poof. Gone.
In its place, the next-gen Mopar muscle car will be a two-door coupe. That should be music to American muscle fanatics’ ears. What’s more, the coupe will channel much of its old-school shape and style from the Chargers of the late 1960s and 1970s. Of course, that’s where the similarities stop.
The new coupe won’t be an electric-only muscle car
Admittedly, Dodge is trying to remain connected to its muscle car fanbase. For instance, the marque developed a “Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust” system. However, despite the best efforts of the Mopar mad scientists, the resultant sound doesn’t deliver the same pantomime as a supercharged 6.2L V8 in an SRT Hellcat.
However, the new 2025 Dodge Charger isn’t without petrolhead promise. Dodge will likely drop a derivation of its Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six into the classically styled coupe. We’re just glad it’s not an EV-or-nothing situation. Besides, 2025 will be the first time in decades that a two-door Dodge Charger and a Ford Mustang hit the streets. “Bullitt” rematch, anyone?
