Texas performance car and supercar builder Hennessey is famous for pushing the limit. However, most of the outfits’ focus revolves around modifying existing performance vehicles, like the S550 Ford Mustang GT500 or Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE. That is until the Texas tuner shocked the world with its first Venom GT supercar. Now, nearly 14 years later, the Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution Roadster drops its top to lay down hellacious sprints with four-figure horsepower reserves.

Thanks to the “Fury” powerplant that currently resides in the other Venom F5 vehicles, the new Revolution Roadster will produce 1,817 horsepower. However, you won’t find hybridized or electrified trickery under the hood of the new F5. Instead, the new drop-top Texan cruise missile will produce hilarious horsepower via a twin-turbocharged 6.6L V8.

John Hennessey, founder, and CEO of the Texas builder, maintains that the new Roadster is unlike anything else in the hypercar space. “The new Venom F5 Revolution Roadster combines our track-focused hypercar with an open-top for an unmatched visceral driving experience,” Hennessey said of the new model.

Of course, Hennessey isn’t going to sell its latest Venom vehicle for less than the standard F5 Coupe. As a result, potential buyers will have to pony up at least $3 million to get their hands on the limited-release Roadster. 

Moreover, the tuning house’s media team says there will be just 12 units for worldwide sale. That makes the new Hennessey model one of the rarest new cars on the planet. However, that price tag is a lot to contend with. $3 million will buy you a Koenigsegg Jesko, a Pagani Utopia, or a family dwelling in Malibu. Yes, that Malibu.

Hennessey says it will pull the cover back on the latest at its public debut at The Quail, an automotive gathering on the Monterey Peninsula in California. While the show is usually a haven for connoisseurs and timeless collector cars, the Venom F5 Revolution Roadster will undoubtedly attract a crowd.
