The 2023 Honda CR-V comes with tons of new standard features to entice consumers. It includes standard Honda Sensing, Honda’s suite of safety and assistance features. It comes with Honda’s Collision Mitigation Braking System, Road Departure Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow, and a Lane Keeping Assist System.
One of the most innovative new standard features that the small SUV includes is Blind-Spot Warning. Blind-Spot Warning is a feature that alerts drivers of when other vehicles are in their blind spots. It is a feature that makes driving both safer and easier because it helps drivers switch lanes.
Blind-Spot Warning is usually exclusive to upper trim level models, so its inclusion on every 2023 CR-V trim is a great step for the entire automotive industry. This means competitors could also begin to offer advanced standard safety and driver assistance features on new model years.
The 2023 Honda CR-V also comes standard with a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The 2022 model year has a standard 5.0-inch screen and didn’t have the same advanced connectivity. Since the infotainment system is such an integral part of a driver’s user experience, this upgrade is more than welcome. The new CR-V also features a standard driver monitoring system, rear-seat belt reminder system, and rear-seat reminder system.

The new Honda CR-V is a huge improvement over the previous model year. The 2022 Honda CR-V was still one of the most competitve models in its segment, so the latest model year has the potential to take the top spot.
The 2022 Hyundai Tucson was one of the previous CR-V model years’ greastest competition, but the new CR-V may have the Tucson beat thanks to its redesign.
According to J.D. Power, the CR-V should start at around $30,000. It uses a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 190 horsepower. Honda has yet to release an offcial EPA estimated gas mileage rating.
Should you buy a 2023 Honda CR-V?
The leatest Honda CR-V will easily be on of the best small SUVs on the market, but don’t pull the trigger on one too soon without considering other options. The 2023 Mazda CX-5 and 2023 Hyundai Tucson should also be promising when they hit the streets.
CR-V fans have every reason to be excited about the latest iteration, but don’t jump the gun. Rival automakers could use the new CR-V as a benchmark to push the envelope even further.
