Trucks like the Ford F-150 have tons of parts. Literally, a ridiculous amount of resources go into new vehicles. Sometimes the amount of new tech and equipment can be frustrating. But the next-generation Ford F-150 is working to make things easier.

The next-generation Ford F-150 is losing parts

The next-generation Ford F-150 will have at least 2,400 fewer parts than the current model. This move is being made to improve the quality of future trucks, like the 15th generation Ford F-150 that’s still in the planning phases.

Muscle Cars and Trucks noted that the Ford Motor Company is projecting significant growth and earnings for the future. Improving the quality of its trucks will help reduce recalls, allowing Ford to gain even more savings.

Ford expects to simplify operations and increase margins from traditional productions to low double-digit EBIT margins, which are up from 7.2% in 2022.

Reducing parts will reduce production costs and reliance on the supply chain. Perhaps supply delays won’t be as much of an issue. Plus, the trucks will be easier to build and monitor for high-quality standards.

Another possible benefit includes improving how reliable the F-150 is. With fewer parts, there are fewer things to potentially break. Also, it could make the F-150 easier to access for repairs. Nothing sounds bad about less time in the shop, in our humble opinion.

Will the 2024 F-150 be redesigned?

No, the 2024 Ford F-150 is receiving a mid-cycle refresh. It won’t be fully redesigned and is still a part of the 14th F-150 generation. While it will look different, the redesigned F-150 won’t debut for a few more years.

The next-generation F-150 shouldn’t be confused with Project T3, either. Project T3 refers to a new electric pickup truck that’s on track to debut in 2025. It’s supposed to be like the Millenium Falcon, but we’re waiting for more clues about what that means.

Anyways, the 2024 F-150 has been spotted in a few spy photos while wearing a little camouflage. From these shots, we can gather that the 2024 F-150 will have an updated face. It should have refreshed LED headlights, a new grille shape, and a revised front bumper.

The rear will probably have new LED taillights, a refreshed tailgate, and a new bumper shape. Plus, it’s safe to expect new paint colors and wheel designs.

Clues suggest that the interior has a new horizontal touchscreen, a new column shifter, a redesigned button layout, and an updated steering wheel design. It could also have an updated digital gauge cluster, new camera views, and more customization options.

When will the 2024 F-150 come out?

The 2024 Ford F-150 is expected to come out this summer and could reach dealerships by the end of the fall. We’ve already seen the new Ford Ranger and the new F-150 is being tested. This indicates that it might be ready to enter production soon.

A few different trim levels have been spotted, from a basic work truck model with an 8.0-inch screen to top-spec options with a possible 15.0-inch screen. Also, a refreshed F-150 Raptor R has been caught in the wild with larger tires.

The F-150 Tremor will be refreshed for the first time since 2020, so a lot of exciting things are on the way. We can’t forget about the potential for a new multi-function tailgate as well.

Stay tuned for the lasted Ford f-150 news as the countdown for the 2024 model begins. We will provide updates about the fifteenth generation as well.
