No One Noticed This Simple Ford F-150 Update
We all know that one person who gets upset because you didn’t notice their haircut. Perhaps the Ford F-150 can relate. It changes styles pretty often while some revisions are small. The 2024 Ford F-150 might feel neglected because no one has complimented this update yet.
The 2024 Ford F-150 has a new logo
Check out the grille of the 2024 Ford F-150. You may notice that the Ford blue oval badge looks different. That’s because the Ford emblem was refreshed and made its debut on the updated F-150.
But there wasn’t a huge announcement about it. In fact, Rob Brancheau, Ford’s Senior Designer, had to confirm that the emblem changed. He shared that it’s not a drastic update and wouldn’t be surprised if hardly anyone notices it unless it’s pointed out.
The old logo had ‘Ford’ written across the center in silver with a chrome surround and a thick outer ring. It had a different shade of blue as well.
The new logo is flatter with less of a contour shape. The “Ford” lettering is in white with one white outer ring. It doesn’t have a thick outer ring, providing more space for the font to grow larger. It’s also set against a darker shade of blue. Personally, I think the new logo makes the trucks look great!
It looks nearly identical to the emblem used from 1965 to 1976. The 1965 emblem pays homage to the 1927 badge with a revised shape. Since 1976, the badge has been pretty much the same with slight revisions in 2003 and 2017.
Keep an eye out, because the new badge will probably make its way to each Ford vehicle in the 2024 lineup.
What’s new for the 2024 F-150?
Aside from the updated emblem, the 2024 Ford F-150 got a mid-cycle refresh with more confident grille designs, tweaked headlights/tail lights, and new tire styles.
The F-150 Tremor has the most noticeable new face with orange accents in the grille. It has space for an available factory-installed wrench winch.
The new Pro Access Tailgate swings out from a side hinge, allowing you to access the bed while a trailer is hooked up.
Also, the turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 engine with 325 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque is the new standard option. A 12.0-inch infotainment screen and digital gauge cluster are standard across the lineup.
The F-150 PowerBoost Hybrid is more affordable and Blue Cruise hands-free driving tech is now available.
