But the Denali Ultimate package ups the ante with unique upholstery, interior trim, and subtle exterior tweaks. Car and Driver reviewers say the Denali Ultimate has “understated” appeal, with darkened chrome and darker GMC badging. Also, some of the trim around the windows is lighter for contrast. 

Furthermore, the Denali Ultimate’s interior has rich leather with plaited stitching and aluminum trim. The front seats are 16-way power-adjustable and have a massage function. A topographical map of Mount Denali is etched into the Paldao wood-trimmed dashboard and on the seatbacks for a finishing touch of exclusivity. 

The Denali Ultimate also brings features like a new 18-speaker Bose sound system with the speakers integrated into the headrests and optional Super Cruise driver-assistance tech that adds automatic lane-changing capabilities and a towing setting. Shoppers can select the 6.2-liter V8 or 3.0-liter Duramax turbodiesel, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Large luxury SUVs like the Jeep Grand Wagoneer typically have a higher starting price than the GMC Yukon Denali, despite offering a similar level of luxury, according to Edmunds. That’s often due to brand cachet and the vehicle’s exclusivity. Luxury SUVs like the Grand Wagoneer may have a more prestigious reputation and history than the Yukon Denali, which can drive up demand and prices.

You also have to consider that luxury SUVs often come with more advanced technology and features, which can increase the overall cost of the vehicle. Despite these price differences, the Grand Wagoneer and Yukon Denali offer a high level of luxury and premium features, making them attractive options in the large luxury SUV segment.
