It’s been almost 20 years since “The Fast and the Furious” made its mark in cinematic history and one of the original iconic Toyota Supras from the movie will be up for auction soon. There were, in fact, eight different Supras used in the making of the first movie and this particular Supra is one of the two that Paul Walker actually drove.

This 1994 Toyota Supra was one of the stunt cars

Take one look at the orange paint that adorns the body of this modified 1994 Toyota Supra and we’re sure that your brain will be flooded with memories of that first movie. Technically, it should bring you memories of the second installment “2 Fast 2 Furious,” as well since it was in that movie too.

According to the car’s description on Barrett Jackson’s website, this particular MK IV Supra was used for multiple interior and exterior shots in the first movie. It was then was modified and brought back for the second one. Hot Cars reports that Craig Lieberman, who narrates the video below, supplied the original “Hero 1” car for the original film. But since every hero car in a film has multiple backups for stunts and other shots, this Supra was labeled “Stunt 1.”

“You have to remember that when car movies are made, for every one car that appears on-screen, there are several clones of that car that serve as backups,” Lieberman says in the video. “Clones are needed as backups for stunts, special effects, process cars, and others are used for close-ups or interior shots.”

This fast and furious Supra comes with extensive modifications

If you’re familiar with the orange Supra, then you can guess that it has a pretty extensive list of modifications. Although, all of them are basically cosmetic since the production crew just needed it to look the part.

According to the car’s description, some of the modifications include Bomex front and side skirts, a TRD-style hood, APR aluminum bi-plane wing, and 19-inch Dazz Motorsports Racing Hart M5 Tuner wheels. The paint splashed on the car is actually a Candy Orange Pearl paint normally found on a Lamborghini Diablo, which complements the “Nuclear Gladiator” image splayed across both sides of the car.

The only downside to all of this fast and furious goodness is that the under the hood is a stock 2JZ-GTE 3.0-liter V6 engine under the hood that is connected to a four-speed automatic transmission. Like we said before, the car was meant to look good, not go fast.

How much it will go for is the million-dollar question

The candy orange Supra will be going on the auction block in June, hopefully in line with the original movie’s 20^th anniversary on June 22^nd. Nostalgic hopes aside, there’s no telling how much the car will auction off for. Lieberman mentioned that one of the other Supras in the film was auctioned off in 2015 to the tune of $185,000, but this one is a little more special.

Considering it coincides with the movie’s anniversary and the fact that Paul Walker is no longer with us, it could fetch more than $500,000. In fact, Lieberman himself thinks that it will auction off for “not a penny less than $550,000.”

That’s not a lofty projection considering many collectors think it will sell for seven figures. Either way, if anyone asks the new owner how much they bought it for, he or she will have full rights to tell them, “More than you can afford, pal.”
