What engine options does the 2023 Ram 1500 have? 

While the 2023 Ram 1500 has powerful engine options, it doesn’t have an answer to the Ford F-150’s fully electric engine, the Toyota Tundra’s full-hybrid engine, or smooth turbocharged V6 engine options. 

While there’s less variety, the Ram 1500 still gets the job done though. Ram kicks things off with a standard 3.6-liter V6 engine with 305 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque.

 It features Ram’s eTorque mild hybrid system that slightly improves the fuel economy and enhances the smooth power delivery. 

You can upgrade to the 5.7-liter V8 engine with 395 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque. This eTorque system is optional with this engine. 

While the 3.0-liter V6 turbocharged diesel engine is on the chopping block, you can still get it with the 2023 model. It churns out 260 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque. 

Last but not least, you can opt for superpower with the Ram 1500 TRX. It’s powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine with 702 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. 

Why is the Ram 1500 the best pickup truck? 

According to AutoBlog, The 2023 Ram 1500 still delivers an unmatched ride quality thanks to its rear coil spring suspension and optional air suspension. The truck provides comfort and control that rivals are trying to catch up to. 

The 2023 Toyota Tundra has a new rear coil suspension setup too, but it doesn’t come close to the Ram’s smooth ride and responsive handling. 

While the 2023 Ram has a 23.1-foot turning radius, the 2023 Toyota Tundra features a 24.3-foot turning radius, and the difference is noticeable. 

Also, while the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 and 2023 Ford F-150 have made an effort to increase interior comfort and quality, the Ram 1500 still takes the lead. It has the most luxury and high-quality craftsmanship. The Tundra followed its lead by adding reclining rear seats.

The Ram 1500 was last redesigned four years ago, but still features the most comfort, passenger space, highest quality, and most innovative interior. It started the trend of adding massive touchscreens, too, with a 12.0-inch unit. 

What’s new for the Ram 1500? 

The 2023 Ram 1500 is upping its game with a new range-topping Limited Elite luxury trim. It has a jeweled rotary shifter, suede headliner, premium leather bucket seats, front and rear ventilated seats, deployable bed steps, a 12-inch digital gauge cluster, and a 19-speaker premium audio system. 

Plus, the RED Edition is back with a unique red grille and eye-catching badging. It has a UV-C light in the glove box that kills bacteria too. 

The Off-Road group includes 22-inc all-terrain tires. Also, the Ram Rebel now features Selec-Speed control, which is like off-road cruise control. 

While the Ram 1500 is a little limited in terms of engine options, it still brings the heat. The Ram 1500 EV will be here soon to fight the Ford F-150 Lightning. Until then, rivals are still playing catch up.
