These models took the top 10 spots in iSeeCars’ lifespan study, with the Toyota Avalon earning the No. 1 spot. The Avalon has a potential lifespan of around 245,710 miles. Still, it’s not an indication of the maximum possible lifespan of these vehicles. Executive Analyst Karl Brauer said that the figures in the study reflect average odometer readings for higher mileage examples and that “most of these cars are still in use and going strong.”
However, only four cars in the study are still in production. The Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Camry, and Honda Accord continue on into the 2023 model year. Specifically, the Honda models have been around for around 50 years, the Corolla for nearly 57 years, and the Camry for 40 years.
Moreover, every model still in production has a potential lifespan of over 200,000 miles. Of course, these cars could sail past that figure with proper care and maintenance.
