Oops, the Jeep Wagoneer Already got Stuck in Mud
Are you excited for the three-row Jeep Wagoneer to make its return? Well, don’t get your hopes up so soon. Spy shots show that the 2021 Jeep Wagoneer got stuck in the mud and needed a tow. How did a 4×4 Jeep get stuck in a little mud? That doesn’t make the Wagoneer seem promising so far.
The 2021 Jeep Wagoneer Already got Stuck
As the new Jeep Wagoneer went for a ride, it pulled over and parked in some mud. Then it started sliding downhill from the side of the road toward a lake and found itself in trouble. The Jeep Wagoneer failed to get free and needed a tow. We wish we could see more, but it was covered in camo.
When it comes to off-roading, there’s always the chance of getting stuck, but usually, you don’t need to be towed. Also, the obstacles are a lot more intense than a slick patch of mud beside the road.

The 2021 Jeep Wagoneer is based on the Ram 1500, so it should have been able to wiggle free just fine. However, due to being so close to the pond, maybe the mud was too soft to provide traction. The third tow in the Wagoneer may have made this prototype a little heavier than vehicles with two rows.
What We Know About the Jeep Wagoneer
Aside from discovering a stuck Jeep, the spy shots revealed that this prototype had the same vertical 10″ infotainment center that is currently in the Ram 1500. But will it have Uconnect 5 software on it?
The Jeep Wagoneer will ride like a truck. It’s Jeep’s answer to finally trying to compete against the Toyota Sequoia and the Chevy Tahoe. Maybe they got some inspiration from the highly successful Dodge Durango as well.
The new Jeep Grand Cherokee will also have three rows. However, the Grand Cherokee will ride more like a car and will be more geared toward off-roading. The Jeep Wagoneer is supposed to be a luxury model.
We can probably expect the Jeep Grand Wagoneer to start around $50k like its rivals. But perhaps a smaller version of the Wagoneer that will be called the Jeep Wagoneer will have a lower starting price.
Because the Jeep Wagoneer is modeled after the Ram 1500, we will probably see the same engines. The 3.6-liter eTorque V6 engine would be fun. Also, the 5.7-liter V8 Hemi would be more fun. Some rumors suggest the Jeep Wagoneer will be all-wheel-drive, but we hope not. A Jeep should have true 4×4 capabilities. However, the Wagoneer is more of a city Jeep.
Jeep Wagoneer Features
The luxurious Jeep Wagoneer will have broad leather seats for everyone! We expect the option of captain seats to be included in the second row. Also, Jeep likes auto climate zones so that the entire family will be comfortable.
Technology-wise, we will see the ability to connect to Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Alexa, Google Assistant, and more. Hopefully, this Jeep will offer a heads up display and Amazon Key as well. An array of modern safety features to keep families safe are expected to be included too. But unfortunately, we will have to wait to learn more.
