Owner Spent $100K on Custom Toyota Camry: On Sale for $37K
The Toyota Camry, as a mainstream sedan, is not a type of car that one typically considers for a luxurious customization. However, an owner of a 2018 Toyota Camry took customization to the extreme with $100,000 in modifications. The custom Camry is now on sale for the more “affordable” price of a little over $37,000.

The $100K custom job on the 2018 Camry is the brainchild of Rutledge Wood, with assistance from ZeroTo60 Designs, as detailed by CarBuzz. Wood is most known for co-hosting the American version of Top Gear, as well as co-hosting NASCAR Trackside.
For whatever reason, Wood is an aficionado of Japanese beaters. In 2015, he custom-built a 1983 Honda Civic Wagon with a “Tank Green” paint color and a B18b engine from an Acura Integra. That car sold for $10,000, and now Wood takes things in a more luxurious direction with his $100K Camry, with the current bid on eBay a little over $37K.

The Toyota Camry is not a very common platform for customization, but that didn’t stop Wood from putting his unique stamp on the mainstream sedan. For the exterior, the custom Camry features a “Blurple” paint color and 3D-printed body panels. It also has a 20-piece body kit, 20-inch rose golf Rotiform custom wheels, and Continental Extreme Contact tires.
The unique modifications continue into the cabin of the Camry. Notable interior design features include a “baseball glove” leather interior, a Focal sound system, and a custom carbon fiber steering wheel. Also, for the most unique touch of all, the car has custom floor mats with a cartoon caricature of Wood.

Based on a Camry V6 XSE trim, the custom Camry has a 3.5-liter V-6 engine, which generates 301 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Additional performance features include a Megan Racing suspension kit and a Wilwood Dynalite braking system.
Is it worth buying a custom $100K Toyota Camry for $37K?
Would you pay $37K for a used 2018 Camry with $100K in modifications? The custom Camry does have some elements going for it. If you’re a big fan of the Camry and desire some exclusiveness, then the custom Camry might be suitable for you. You’d be hard-pressed to find a Camry that is as unique as this one. When driving down the street, you’ll undoubtedly garner a few stares.
Also, the custom Camry only has 2,700 miles. Considering the much-deserved reputation for reliability and longevity for the Camry, you can expect the custom Camry to last many years and miles.
However, while the custom touches are nice, there are not many car buyers that would be willing to pay $37K for a used Camry. Also, the $37K is the current bid on eBay, and could possibly go higher. For comparison, depending on the location, you can get a used 2018 Toyota Camry V6 XSE for around $26,000-$30,000.
