Pete Davidson’s grandfather always wanted a Mercedes S-Class
Pete Davidson’s comedy career has been anything but ordinary. At 20, Saturday Night Live hired him as one of its youngest cast members ever. SNL executive producer Lorne Michaels praised Davidson’s “honesty” and “enormous charm.” He has also starred in The King of Staten Island and Suicide Squad. Part of his honesty is not mincing words, and Davidson made it clear that he is not a car guy. But when he first became rich, he bought a silver Mercedes-Benz S-Class because of his grandfather’s fifteen-year dream.
According to Pete Davidson, “Since I was 5 years old my grandpa always told me he wanted to drive a S Class.” So after Davidson landed his job at SNL and could afford a nice car, he bought a Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
Davidson immediately took his new car home, he insisted his grandfather take a turn driving it. He posted a video of his grandfather driving on Instagram. He mentioned his Grandfather’s S-Class dreams, and he added, “The other day my mom took him out in mine. This video makes me cry.”
Some of Davidson’s fans urged him to give the car to his grandfather. The comedian joked, “Guys I’d give him the car but he can barely drive. Did you watch the video?”

When it came to buy a new car, he upgraded to a black S-Class.
The Mercedes S-Class is easily one of the most beautiful sedans. But Davidson jokes it was the seats that converted him to a Mercedes fan. The S-Class is undoubtedly one of the most comfortable luxury cars. Davidson specifies that the Mercedes seats “hug” him. Especially while he’s cornering, he says, “the seat’s like, ‘I got you.'”
Davidson adds, “That should be their commercial: ‘Did you not have a father growing up? Drive around in circles with our new Mercedes-Benz, the car that hugs.'”
