Can you imagine how much trouble you would be in if you hit a house with your car? This is something Pete Davidson had to own up to after losing control of his Mercedes-Benz and smashing into a home. However, the case was dismissed.

Pete Davidson’s reckless driving case was dismissed

I guess we can’t all be as lucky as celebrities are. Average drivers will have to own up to the consequences of reckless driving and hitting the side of a house.

The incident occurred on March 4, 2023, during the night in a residential area of Beverly Hills. He was driving at about 100 mph with his then-girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders in the passenger seat.

Then he hit a fire hydrant and lost control, flying into the side of someone’s home. Luckily, no one was hurt and Pete immediately called the cops. He wasn’t arrested at the scene. Pete Davidson wasn’t under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

He did have a misdemeanor charge at first. Also, his Mercedes-Benz looked pretty smashed up, he ruptured the fire hydrant, and the home needed significant repairs. Pete came to an agreement with the homeowner who agreed not to sue him.

Pete was ordered to complete a partial diversion program, which he did ahead of schedule. He performed 50 hours of community service, attended a Mothers Against Drunk Driving victim impact program, 12 hours of traffic school, and a term at a hospital or morgue.

He was able to see the impact that reckless driving can have six months ahead of the deadline. Judge Alexander C.X. Giza shared in his ruling that the terms of the diversion were completed, so there was a successful diversion, and the matter is dismissed.

While Pete claims to not care very much about cars, he has a 2022 Mercedes-Benz S-Class worth $250,000, a G-Wagon worth $150,000, a Range Rover Autobiography worth over $123,000, and a Rolls-Royce Cullinan worth $389,000.

Hopefully, he won’t be reckless driving and destroying any more homes or sports cars.
