Buying a pickup truck can be an intimidating task, especially if you know it will last 200,000 miles. In general, trucks like the Toyota Tundra and Honda Ridgeline are built to withstand more than your normal automobile. Towing, dirt, children, dogs, and everything in between really put these to the test.

Forbes recently did an article demonstrating that the vehicles below can last more than 200,000 miles on the road. The data came from iSeeCars, which documented more than 11.8 million used cars sold during 2020. The trucks (and one minivan!) below registered 200,000 miles or more at the sale time.

Toyota Tundra pickup trucks with 200,000+ miles

The Toyota Tundra is constantly making lists. Most reliable, dependable, and now most likely to reach 200,000 miles. The Tundra accounted for 3.7% of the automobiles on this list.

Drivers buy a Tundra to do it all, from work to children and weekend fun. If you plan on putting your Toyota-backed truck through the wringer, a lower-mileage might be a better pick. But if you are bouncing around in your Tundra for a few years, 200,000 miles is nothing to shy away at.

Honda Ridgeline trucks with 200,000+ miles

The Honda Ridgeline made up 3.4% of the vehicles on this list. That means 3.4% of the Ridgelines sold in 2020 had more than 200,000 miles on the odometer. That’s not a bad statistic.

You can expect to pay a little money upfront for some corrective maintenance that will help extend the life of your truck. New suspension, fluids, and some other overlooked tidbits are a good idea.

Toyota Tacoma pickup trucks with 200,000+ miles

The famous taco! Also known as the Toyota Tacoma. If you find a high-mileage Tacoma and it passes a thorough inspection, do it! These trucks were built to last for many miles.

2.8% of the trucks on the over 200,000-mile list were Tacomas. The Tundra has been available for many years, so check websites like AutoTrader and CarMax to find one that suits your needs.

Do an extended test drive and check for rust, depending on where your taco lived its previous life. You should do this regardless of if your new purchase has 200,000 miles or not.

Honda Odyssey minivans with 200,000+ miles

OK, this one isn’t a pickup truck. But the Honda Odyssey has a lot of similar features and amounted to 2.9% of the vehicles on this list. The Odyssey is a minivan with a lot of seating and cargo space.

Since minivans generally don’t do as much towing as a truck, it makes sense this one would last more than 200,000 miles. That’s not to say it can’t tow, as the 2021 Odyssey can tow between 3,000 and 3,500 pounds, according to Edmunds. These generally come with a solid V6 engine.

Before buying any of these options, be sure to get an inspection. This might catch any small things that were previously overlooked. If you are looking for a truck or minivan that will last, these makes will last you. Don’t skip out on the maintenance, though!
