According to Carscoops, the new Porsche insurance plan comes as a joint venture with an insurance company called Aon. This allows Porsche Canada to offer its customers high-quality insurance directly with the sale of a vehicle. Various different insurance offerings and policies will be available to Porsche customers. Some of them have some pretty enticing features, too.

For one, a benefit option to only use OEM parts in the event of an insurance claim is available. When owners select this option, Porsche Canada will ensure that repairs are done only at approved facilities with Porsche-certified technicians. Thus, Porsche owners can take solace in knowing their car is using high-quality parts.

The service also states that if a car is totaled within 24 months of purchase, owners will get an insurance payout for the full original MSRP. No depreciated valuation here!

Furthermore, when customer cars are in for repairs, Porsche takes care of owners in that instance, too. No run-of-the-mill rental car here. Porsche Canada’s insurance system will ensure you get a comparable car to drive while yours is in for repair. That way, you don’t have to convince people you’re a Porsche owner.

All joking aside, this seems like an awesome offering from Porsche Canada. After all, making insurance easy is a great way to entice people to buy. Porsche is well-known for providing great customer service. So, this really seems like a natural forward step in the Porsche ownership process!

This policy covers more than just sports cars, too

During the process of obtaining the insurance policy, customers will speak with expert insurance professionals to help them acquire the policy that best suits their needs. In addition, Carscoops reports that certain bundling discounts are available, too. So, Porsche owners have the potential to roll home owner’s insurance or other insurance products into their policy.

Ultimately, this seems like a fantastic way to keep sales coming. Many manufacturers are adopting similar concepts. For example, Care by Volvo is a subscription service that allows customers to get a new vehicle every fourth month. In addition, it also covers insurance and things like road-hazard damage to tires and wheels.

With everything else coming in bundles and subscription services, it only makes sense that automakers turn their attention to similar strategies. However, unlike in some cases, it seems like these types of deals truly benefit customers. Hopefully, something like this will come to Porsche dealers in the U.S.!
