Like its tenured sibling, the 911, the Porsche Panamera offers a hybrid option for 2025. However, rather than focusing on sheer efficiency, the Panamera Hybrid boasts corner-eviscerating performance. Better yet, the Porsche Panamera Hybrid managed to lap the infamous Nürburgring over six seconds quicker than the obscenely powerful Tesla Model S Plaid.

The new, 771-horsepower Porsche Panamera Hybrid lapped the Nürburgring in just 7:24.17, over six seconds quicker than the Tesla Model S Plaid

It’s almost too appropriate for Porsche to set blistering lap times on Germany’s most famous circuit: the dreaded Nürburgring Nordschleife. For decades now, manufacturers have descended on the “Green Hell” to test their latest performance-oriented creations.

Such is the case with the Panamera Hybrid, a 771-horsepower successor to the outgoing model. What’s more, the 2025 Porsche Panamera E-Hybrid managed to put down a seriously impressive lap of the Nürburgring, despite its considerable weight.

That’s right; the Porsche Panamera Hybrid lapped the Green Hell in just 7:24.17. For starters, that’s 5.6 seconds quicker than the previous hybrid model. While that might not sound like much, it’s an eternity on the Nürburgring.

Moreover, the Panamera Hybrid managed to outrun the Tesla Model S Plaid’s lap time by around 6.73 seconds. It’s a mighty impressive feat, considering drivers and cars have to stay task-focused to get the best possible result from the 12.9-mile circuit.

The Porsche luxury sedan summons 771 horsepower from its hybrid twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8, making it one of the most powerful Porsche sedans ever. Of course, it’s a far cry from the Porsche Taycan’s 1,019 horsepower peak. Still, even with 249 fewer horsepower, the hybridized Panamera outperformed Tesla’s top luxury sedan.
