The 2021 Aston Martin V12 Speedster is the cross between a fighter jet and a vintage Aston Martin racer. The hand-built roadster is a limited-edition gem priced at $950,000. With only 88 units built, Bond’s next villain might want to grab one of these priceless V12 Speedster’s before they’re gone.

Academy Award winner, Rami Malek is the newest villain to take on James Bond. Scheduled to be released in November 2020, the major motion picture, No Time to Die,features Malek playing evil supervillain Safin.
The British automaker, Aston Martin, has confirmed that four of its cars will be used in the new blockbuster. Only time will tell which one will belong to Safin.
Aston Martin’s upcoming V12 Speedster
Under the hood of the highly-anticipated 2021 Aston Martin V12 Speedster sits a 5.2-liter, 700-hp twin-turbo V-12 with 555 lb-ft of torque. Reaching top speeds of 186-mph and capable of going 0 to 62 mph in 3.5 seconds, this is one of the fastest Aston Martin models to hit the street.
The custom-built V12 Speedster resembles a fighter jet with cockpit-style seating and aerodynamics inspired by the F/A-18 Super Hornet, according to MotorTrend. With no roof or windshield and a spine that separates the driver and passenger, this vehicle is like no other on the road today.
Kelley Blue Book review
Kelley Blue Book took a first look at the radical road car and was highly impressed, saying,
“The Aston Martin V12 Speedster is a limited-edition model for a certain type of well-heeled enthusiast who prizes horsepower and exclusivity but cares little about weather protection.”
The bonded-aluminum design is based on previous models of the Aston Martin Vantage and Aston Martin DBS Superleggera. The V12 was meticulously customized by the brand’s “Q” division. Kelley Blue Book thought the visual interest of the V12 has been “turned up to eleven.”
What makes the Aston Martin V12 Speedster unique?
There will only be 88 lucky owners of the V12 Speedster, with delivery expected sometime in the first quarter of 2021. Miles Nurnberger, the design director for Aston Martin, told Motor Trend,
“This car has been created to deliver an incredibly visceral experience. That’s why it is a V-12 rather than a V-8. We are amplifying all the emotional strings that we can to the absolute maximum.”
How it compares to other cars Bond villains have driven
The Bond movies love to feature exotic sports cars, especially for their villains. The Rolls-Royce Phantom III was used back in 1964 during Goldfinger.
In 1974, The Man With The Golden Gun villain drove the AMC Matador Coupe. Goldeneye featured the Ferrari F355 GTS in 1995, and the Jaguar XKR was the star of the screen in 2002 for Die Another Day. The Land Rover Defender 110 Double Cab was seen in Spectre in 2015 along with the Jaguar C-X75 that was driven by evil Mr. Hinx.
The C-X75 was a unique 850-hp hybrid capable of reaching top speeds of 200 mph. Four low emission electric engines fueled the microturbines to provide the first electric vehicle worthy of a supervillain.
