Price Cuts for the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Battle Inflation
We’re used to seeing truck and SUV prices increase. But after the Jeep Grand Cherokee increased prices someone at Stellantis decided to pull back a little. Now the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee flexes price drops.
How much does the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee cost?
You can get started with a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee for about $38,035. The $1,795 destination fee takes the starting price up to $39,830. The 2023 Grand Cherokee base model has an MSRP of $40,035, so the entry-level model has decreased by $2,000.
Each option in the line-up has been cut by $2,000 to $4,000. For example, the range-topping Summit Reserve model costs $68,835, so it’s $4,000 cheaper.
Earlier in the year, the 2024 Grand Cherokee was peppered by price increases. Some trim levels increased by $3,190 to $6,490 more.
According to CarsDirect, Stellantis shared that it is aware that customers are grappling with the rising cost of inflation.
In response, the Jeep brand is taking the opportunity to add content and value to its award-winning lineup while rolling the prices back on the MSRP’s of some of the most popular models, like the 2024 Grand Cherokee.
Last month Jeep was offering a 10% discount, but that option can no longer be found. Also, dealers with completed sales orders submitted by January 30 may be eligible for price protection. This will help some buyers benefit from the savings.
You may feel like Jeep is struggling and needs to cut the price of the Grand Cherokee due to a lack of sales, but this isn’t the case. In 2023, Jeep moved 244,597 models. In 2022, it sold 223,344 units, so it had a year-over-year increase of 21,253 models.
The Honda Pilot sold 110,298 units in 2023 and the Kia Telluride moved 110,765 units. The Toyota 4Runner sold 109,951 models, so the Jeep Grand Cherokee is doing just fine against popular competitors.
