Ford‘s newest pickup truck is hitting the market in stride, and the automaker literally can’t make enough models. The hybrid-focused truck has one of the best fuel economies we’ve seen on any vehicle, but especially trucks. This pickup can be purchased in hybrid as its standard or optionally a conventional fully gas-powered variant and starts at just $19,995. If you want everything the truck can possibly come with, what is the price of a fully loaded 2022 Ford Maverick? We built an all-wheel drive, First Edition, Lariat Luxury Maverick with every option and accessory available and the total came to $39,870.

The most expensive Ford Maverick trim

Starting with the first choice potential buyers must make when looking at a Maverick, trim. The three different available trim levels are XL, XLT, and Lariat. Previous Ford customers should be more than familiar with these trim names, as they are nothing new to the brand. Lariat is of course the top trim and starts at $25,490 with the 2.5-liter hybrid engine, but rises to $26,575 if swapped out for the 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine.

Since this is the fully loaded Maverick build, we’ll add the more expensive EcoBoost engine which is not standard on the Maverick. There are 11 exterior paint colors to choose from, and only a few add an additional cost. The most expensive of those is the Rapid Red, which is only available if the Maverick is purchased with the Lariat Luxury Package, First Edition Package, and Ford Co-Pilot360.

Every option available

If you add every option to any vehicle, the cost is going to rise quite a bit. By adding the packages required to turn our Maverick Rapid Red, we’ve also gained Equipment Group 500A. It adds things like a 6.5-inch LCD instrument cluster screen, Intelligent access with push-button start, FLEXBED with two rear cubby storage, and much more. Also included with these packages are the optional 18″ black-painted wheels. However, keeping the non-hybrid engine takes away the black-painted wheels (for some reason).

A few interior upgrades can be added as well, like the floor liners, outlets, a console vault, and more. Included in the First Edition Package is a power tilt and slide moon roof. The Lariat Luxury package also gets the B&O Premium 8-speaker audio system. There’s plenty to add to your Maverick, and it can easily get much more expensive than that attractive starting price.

The Ford Maverick | Ford

Using Ford’s build and price tool for the Ford Maverick, we added everything we could onto the First Edition Lariat. At the end of the configuration, we’re hit with a total price of $39,870. That’s after adding destination charges, an acquisition fee, plus all of the options and accessories we chose, which added up to $11,155. The estimated monthly lease payment on this Maverick is $433 per month for 39 months with $3,923 down.

The fully loaded 2022 Ford Maverick comes with a lot of great features and accessories. So many more can be added on that the original price can nearly be doubled. Most of the extras we added on for this build aren’t necessary except on a case-by-case basis. Pay careful attention to what you need most for your truck because many of these things wouldn’t be used by most people. Over $11,000 worth of options and accessories is likely something buyers will never reach, but that’s the price of a fully loaded 2022 Ford Maverick.
