Prices Increase for a New 2023 Nissan Frontier
Nissan has increased the prices a bit for its 2023 Frontier truck. The new, base, S King Cab 4×2 starts at $29,190. If you can still find a 2022 on a lot, it starts at $28,690. After an eternity on the market, the Frontier was completely redesigned for 2022 and the new truck offers a ton of features. But, what’s new for 2023?
What’s new for 2023?
For 2023, didn’t change much. It makes sense, the truck was all-new for 2022. But for 2023, you can order a blacked-out Midnight Edition package, which adds 17-inch black rims, mirrors, bumper and grille. The SV Crew Cab Long Wheelbase model adds the SV Convenience Package standard, which includes a heated leather steering wheel, heated seats, a spray-in bed liner, and more.
The PRO-X and PRO-4X off-road trims return for 2023. Each adds Apple CarPlay, and some different color interior seat stitching.

What are the PRO trims in the Frontier?
In the day you could get a Desert Runner version of the Nissan Frontier and the PRO-4X version. They were essentially the same truck, but the Desert Runner was a two-wheel drive. Today, the top level of the Frontier is the PRO trim, in two-wheel drive PRO and four-wheel drive PRO-4X, and both add a factory lift, several interior options. The 4×4 models also benefit from a steel front skid plate, front tow hooks, Hill Descent Control and a 4-wheel limited-slip system, which helps transfer power to the drive wheels with more grip on low-traction surfaces.
How much can a Nissan Frontier tow?
The Nissan Frontier has a standard 310-horsepower V6 with a nine-speed automatic. That combination adds up to 6,720 pounds of towing capacity for the King Cab 4×2 version. That capacity drops to as low as 6,260 in the heavier, but way roomier, Crew Cab Long Bed 4×4 version. The Frontier does offer a monitor that helps you line up the trailer hitch just right, a sway control option for high winds, and a tow-haul mode that keeps the transmission from hunting for gears.
