Cadillac Man (1990)

Cadillac Man is a movie people really enjoy or just hate. Either way, this movie is worth a watch just to see the fabulous Robin Williams in action. Williams plays a downtrodden Cadillac dealership owner who’s life only gets worse when it’s taken captive.

Days of Thunder (1990)


While this movie was bashed by critics, Tom Cruise is at his charismatic best in Days of Thunder. This sports drama captures the NASCAR era of the late 80s to the beginning of the 90s. Cruise plays Cole Trickle, a racing rookie waiting for his first big moment in his NASCAR career.

After being recruited by Chevrolet, he struggles to get used to the NASCAR stock cars and learn the league’s lingo. Things get worse when he comes head to head with pro racer Rowdy Burns played by Michael Rooker. Fun fact: this is the first movie that Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman start in together.

Thelma and Louise (1991)

Thelma and Lousie is an absolute classic about a true ride-or-die friendship between two girlfriends that end up as outlaws. This controversial movie stars Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis. Thelma and Lousie was nominated for numerous awards and most notably won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.  One of the vehicles in the film sold for $65,000 at an auction in Italy.

This movie is full of memorable quotes and helped connect the song Bohemian Rhapsody to an entirely new generation.
