We were pretty excited about the Ford Bronco Everglades going out to become the new swap thing. But it looks like our excitement was a bit premature because the 2023 Ford Bronco Everglades was just discontinued. Reportedly, it might not come back. Update: It’s still missing from the lineup.

Is the 2023 Ford Bronco Everglades discontinued? 

Yes, the 2023 Ford Bronco Everglades has been discontinued. According to Pickup Truck Talk, you can no longer order the Bronco Everglades model on the website. So, upon further investigation, the Ford Ranger seems to be responsible for this decision. 

Mike Levine, Ford North America Product Communications Director, shared that the Bronco and Ranger are both built at the Michigan Assembly plant. To prepare for a smooth 2024 Ford Ranger launch, temporary manufacturing changes have been made. 

This is to ensure a quality launch for the new Ranger while getting Bronco models in the hands of existing order holders. As a result, the Everglades has been discontinued for the remainder of 2023. 

Plus, supply chain shortages are still a thing. On the Bronco build configurator, some models have warnings about limited availability. People are still waiting months for their orders.

Customers can check dealer stock to see if one of the configurations they can no longer order is available. Also, the Ford Bronco Everglades driving video has been marked private on the Ford site. 

What comes with the Bronco Everglades? 

The Ford Bronco Everglades is the best model for tackling wet trails. It has a factory-installed snorkel and can ford water up to 36.4 inches deep. This is 2.8 inches deeper than the Jeep Wrangler can go. 

Plus, the snorkel has a quick-swap reversible air vent to optimize its performance in dust, snow, and water by raising the engine air intake. 

You’ll find a factory-installed warn winch on the heavy-duty front modular bumper. It has a 10,000 lb capacity and a 100-foot synthetic line. 

It also features a standard safari bar, rock rails, and the same steel skid plates found on other Bronco models. The Bronco Everglades builds upon the Sasquatch package with 17-inch carbonized grey alloy wheels wrapped in 35-inch Goodyear Mud Terrain tires. 

The molded-in-color hardtop provides a unique look with a roof rack with cross bars. The wheel arches and fender flares match the Sasquatch, and a distinctive grey grille completes the look.

Arguably, the 2023 Ford Bronco Everglades special edition looks best in the attractive shade of Eruption Green paint. It really helps the black badging pop. 

We can’t imagine that the factory-installed winch will be missing for long. The Warren winch is growing increasingly popular. I even got to learn how to use it at a recent 2024 Jeep Wrangler event.

How much power does the Bronco Everglades have? 

The 2023 Ford Bronco Everglades is equipped with the 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine with 300 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque. It doesn’t have the optional turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 engine with 330 hp and 415 lb-ft of torque. 

Also, due to the added weight of the extra equipment, it’s the slowest Bronco model available. But it can still tow up to 3,500 lbs and has a 67.8.1 crawl ratio. The approach angle is slightly decreased, but the break-over angle is the same. 

The marine-grade vinyl seats and rubberized washout flooring make the Bronco Everglades easy to clean after splashing through the mud. 

We have to say goodbye to the 2023 model, which stinks for people waiting for their Everglades to be built. Perhaps people are more interested in the Ford Ranger than the Everglades.

It might return in 2024, but critics think it’s gone for good. If it makes a miraculous comeback, we hope it has the more powerful engine variant or perhaps hybrid power.
