Professional tennis might not be the first sport people think about when it comes to multi-millionaire athletes. However, when somebody has the nearly two-decade run of success that Nadal has had, they get paid handsomely to do so. One of the winningest players in history, Nadal knows how to enjoy the fruits of his success. Nothing quite encapsulates this like his multi-million dollar yacht

Nadal takes the court

Born in a small island community in Spain, Nadal picked up a tennis racket early. By the time he was eight years old, Nadal was already dominating the youth circuit, winning a tennis championship for the under-12 division. By 12 years old, he was a champion in his age bracket. Then, at just 15 years of age, Nadal was a professional on the ITF junior circuit.

Everything was looking up for the young superstar who was not yet old enough to vote in many countries. At just 19 years of age, Nadal won the first of what would be many French opens, and the world was on notice. While the French Open would prove to be the superstar’s best event, he had a career grand slam by the time he was just 24.

Now, ten years later, Nadal might be playing the best tennis of his career. He recently capped off the 2020 French Open with his 13th victory at the event, his 20th Grand Slam overall. At 34 years of age, he is part of the three-headed monster with Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer, who has made a habit of whooping down the rest of the competition.

With nearly $120 million in tennis earnings alone, Nadal is living large in more ways than one.

What is Nadal’s net worth?

Aside from his career earnings, Nadal has hefty endorsement deals from Nike, Kia, Lanvin cologne, and several other giant companies from all over the world. As such, his salary away from tennis isn’t too shabby either. While he might not have the empire that friend and rival Roger Federer has, his roughly $200 million net worth shows that he’s at no risk of going bankrupt any time soon.

From six-figure watches to his investment in tennis centers across the world, Nadal knows how to flaunt his money while also doing good for his community in the process, according to Business Insider. With that much income, however, he knows how to splurge on the things he wants. From lavish vacations to high-end fashion, Nadal is living large.

His most impressive investment, however, might be the $5 million yacht.

Nadal’s yacht

According to Forbes, the Sunreef 80 Power 2019 Yacht that Nadal purchased wasn’t just a spur-of-the-moment splurge. The tennis great sunk a lot of time and money to ensure that it was precisely what he wants it to be. It’s an 80-foot boat with more features than the average house, two 1,200 hp engines, and a 4,000 square foot living space inside.

The coffee-colored interior echoes Nadal’s fashion sense, and with four guest quarters, it can also be a vessel for entertainment. A flybridge, a wet bar, a barbecue, and a relaxation area help Nadal unwind, while the built-in jet skis in the garage down below help him feed his adventurous side, as well. Sometimes, Nadal wants to explore the world beneath the boat, so the snorkeling equipment comes in handy for this itch.

It should come as no surprise that the man born on a Spanish island has a seafaring streak to him, and this yacht might best encapsulate this side. While tennis players have to devote countless hours to reach the top, those who do are rewarded greatly. Nadal has earned his yacht, watches, and charitable causes because he is one of the best to do it. When he isn’t playing, however, he can wind down on his luxurious Sunreef Yacht.
