Real Madrid is a Spanish football club based out of Madrid, Spain, and if there is one thing that has become clear, it’s that their players love Audi. In fact, Audi has been partnered with the top-flight club for over two decades, though most people may not even realize it. This year, Real Madrid will get to ride in style and luxury as they get a new fleet of Audi cars, featuring SUVs, GTs, and Avants.

The prominent popularity of SUVs

According to Audi, their SUV options have been the most popular choice among the Real Madrid players, and we aren’t particularly surprised. SUVs have skyrocketed in popularity over the past several years, and according to The NY Times, the number of SUV buyers is quickly beginning to outnumber car buyers. Among the offered models, the Q models seem to be the most popular for the team and make up a decent portion of the Real Madrid company car fleet.

Other options

Players could choose from a variety of vehicle options to use as their official Real Madrid company car. Head coach Zinedine Zidane and the team captain, Sergio Ramos, both opted for the impressive and sporty Audi RS 6 Avant, the brand’s performance-oriented station wagon that offers the ample practicality of an SUV without being quite as large.

The Audi e-tron Sportback

Among the lineup of options for Real Madrid players to chose from is the new Audi e-tron Sportback. It’s the first all-wheel-drive, all-electric SUV option from the brand, and it highlights a special trend among all of the vehicles picked out by the team. Every car in the new Real Madrid company fleet is either rocking a hybrid drivetrain or is completely electric, and it’s pretty interesting to see an influential organization taking a step to represent the future of electric and hybrid cars.
