Recall Alert: 142,000 Ram Trucks Have a Weird Turn Signal Issue
If you drive a Ram truck, then you might need to take your ride in for service. The Ram 1500 Classic, 2500, and 3500 models are at risk due to malfunctioning turn signals. See if your Ram truck is involved.
Ram truck recall alert due to faulty turn signal stalks
Imagine driving your Ram truck around and hitting your turn signal to discover that it gets stuck in the on position so you look like a bad driver or the brights suddenly turn on, blinding oncoming traffic.
This is a real possibility. You could look like a bad driver due to this Ram truck issue. The turn signal stalk or steering column control module is defective in over 142,000 units.
The stalk’s self-canceling anti-jam component was built out of specification, so the turn signals may not automatically stop once the driver turns the wheel. In some cases, a shirt circuit may cause the high beams to turn on when the turn signal is used.
The ram trucks included in this recall include:
- 2023 Ram 1500 Classic models
- 2023 and 2024 Ram 3500 models
- 2023 and 2024 Ram 2500 models
- 2023 and 2024 Ram 4500 models
- 2023 and 2024 Ram 5500 models

Ram will begin notifying owners at risk via mail by the end of January 2024. If your truck has a faulty stalk, then you will need to head to a local Ram dealership.
The turn signal stalk will be replaced at no charge. If you already paid to have this problem corrected, then you’re eligible for reimbursement. However, it may have already been covered by the warranty.
