The 2022 – 2023 Ford F-150 and Ford Bronco have a transmission recall
It seems like Ford can’t escape quality issues, and now the 2023 Ford F-150 and Ford Bronco have a stop-sale and a recall due to a transmission problem. The issue is related to the 10-speed automatic transmission.
According to MotorTrend, all of the fuss is related to a $.10 part. A loose bolt could reach the parking pawl and get in the way. It prevents the vehicle from not moving while in park.
As a result, Ford Bronco and F-150 models might move while placed in park. It’s like the vehicles get placed in neutral instead.
The inability to secure the park position may result in a rollaway, increasing the risk of injuries or accidents.
On a positive note, Ford believes that most of the affected vehicles haven’t been delivered yet. But the stip-sale could lead to delays. It’s unclear when deliveries will resume. Also, Ford doesn’t have a solution for this issue yet.
If your vehicle is at risk, then replacement parts and instructions will arrive in the second quarter of 2023. The Broncos covered by this recall were built between November 14, 2022, and January 12, 2023.
The F-150s at risk were built between November 09, 2022, and January 13, 2023, in Dearborn, Michigan. Also, models built between November 13, 2022, and January 12, 2023, in Kansas may be impacted.

Plus, the incorrect lug nuts may allow the tires to come off, a fractured driveshaft could result in the loss of power, ow tire pressure impacts control, damaged wiring makes the steering inoperative, and there could be a loss of trailer brake functionality.
