You’re running out of time to get a monster Jeep with a V8 engine, especially if you want a cheaper price. The Jeep Rubicon Wrangler Rubicon 392 seems to be on its deathbed. But first, the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Final Edition will debut to go out with a final blaze of glory.
The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 could be discontinued soon
We shouldn’t be surprised by the fact that the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 faces limited days. It uses the 6.4-liter HEMI V8 that Steallantis is discontinuing.
This engine isn’t going to be available anymore as icons like the Dodge Durango Hellcat, Ram 1500 TRX, Dodge Challenger, and more say goodbye.
Allegedly, a leaked document shared the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Final Edition model. Other models with the HEMI got a Last Call Edition, so this tracks.
The document was reportedly sent to the top 50 Jeep dealerships in three different areas challenging them to sell more Jeep models. The prize for their success is stock allocation for the Rubicon 391 Final Edition.
However, we don’t have any information about the Final Edition model. We know that it will be pretty limited and expensive based on other Final Edition vehicles.
Is safe to expect a unique shade of paint, upgraded wheels, and plenty of exterior decals. The interior will probably include embroidered logos, leather upholstery, accent stitching, and other visual upgrades.
The Rubicon 392 has an MSRP of $91,545, so the Final Edition could surpass $100,000. The 6.4-liter V8 HEMI is tuned to crank out 470 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 4.4 seconds.
With the Ford Bronco Raptor, you get a 3.0-liter V6 engine with 418 hp and 440 lb-ft of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 5.6 seconds. It has an MSRP of $90,035.
If the Rubicon 391 disappears, will the Ford Bronco Raptor have a true rival? It’s unclear if anything is coming to replace the Rubicon 392.
While the Ram 1500 TRX is being discontinued, we know that it’s being replaced by the Ram 1500 RHO. So, a Wrangler Rubicon RHO could be in the works, or we could see a more powerful Wrangler 4xe model emerge.
The Hurricane High Output engine is a new 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six engine with 510 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque. This could provide the Wrangler with more power than the Rubicon 392.
