The Second Rolls-Royce Boat Tail Is Dressed For Success
Rolls-Royce and luxury go hand-in-hand. Every model that rolls off the production line receives the utmost care and attention to make it stand out. Last year, Rolls-Royce unveiled the first Boat Tail. It was immediately revered for its stunning looks, attention to detail, and outstanding luxury. Rolls-Royce immediately planned to release two more iterations, and we can finally lay our eyes on this $30,000,000 masterpiece!
Where did the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail come from?
The idea behind this custom line-up of models dates back to 2017 when Rolls-Royce unveiled the one-of-a-kind Sweptail. At that time, Rolls-Royce had numerous clients asking about other one-off commissions, and in turn, Rolls-Royce Coachbuild was born. In particular, the Boat Tail was the result of conversations and planning, with three buyers having similar ideas. This led to creating these three models, with each shopper getting a unique and custom model.
The understated billionaire’s cruiser
The Boat Tail is a custom-built convertible that brings drivers a unique design that draws in onlookers. The front end is immediately recognizable as a Rolls-Royce with the large grille and the Spirit of Ecstacy standing proud. As your eyes flow from the front to the rear, you notice a sleek body line that meets at the, you guessed it, boat tail.
While the first model was a deep blue that grabbed the attention of everyone, the second model comes in a stunning rose-hued brown. It is a blend of oyster, rose, and large mica flakes of bronze and white on the bottom. The top is a cognac with bronze and gold aluminum flakes covered in a crystal matte clear-coat top-coat. According to Rolls-Royce, this color combination is one of the most complex paint jobs they have ever completed.
The new Rolls-Royce Boat Tail brings an understated luxury despite the unmistakable elegance and opulence.
Pearly a good time
What sets this impressive model apart is the care that went to creating this model specifically for the client. The client who commissioned this model comes from the pearling industry, which is a big focal point for the design of the Boat Tail. The exterior color above was inspired by the four-pearl shells given. This theme is carried through the rest of the car.
The interior of the new Rolls-Royce Boat Tail makes use of plush cognac and oyster leathers and natural Royal Walnut veneer. Furthermore, you can enjoy rose goal and mother-of-pearl accents. The centerpiece, in particular, is also crafted from hand-picked mother-of-pearl from the client’s collection. The pearl theme is also in the gauges, control switches, instrument dials, and the centerpiece. This all ties this car to the owner and their heritage.
The perfect car for a picnic on the Hamptons
Few things are as unique as a new Boat Tail. The rear end features a split-open trunk that houses dishes, utensils, and an umbrella. The included umbrella can also be attached to the rear, and the fold-out chairs help make this the ultimate luxury picnic basket.
This entire car is hand-built to be unique.
$30,000,000 can get you something similar
This Rolls-Royce Boat Tail is the second of three models designed for a particular client. This model results from four years of hard work and planning to make sure that the client was able to get the completely bespoke model of their dreams.
Rolls-Royce would undoubtedly be the company to work with if you’d like to get something like this and have $30,000,000 laying around.
