Surprise, the beloved HEMI V8 engine gets to stick around until 2025. First, the Jeep Rubicon 392 decided to offer the thirsty beast for another year, now it gets to stay with the 2025 Dodge Durango for another year.
Forget the Dodge Durango Last Call because the Hellcat is back again
It’s hard to say how many people will be excited or upset about the 2025 Dodge Durango SRT is back again. Stellantis has been toying with emotions!
At first, the Durango Hellcat was supposed to be a limited edition model. However, it was brought back twice. People were so mad that more people could buy the Durango Hellcat when they were supposed to have the only models available.
Also, Ram trucks lost the engine for 2025. Then it was temporarily discontinued with Jeep after being dropped by the Dodge lineup.
Now what can we believe after the Last Call models weren’t actually last? Will another Ram 1500 TRX return?
The 2025 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat, which is back from the grave! It’s back to celebrate the engine’s 20th anniversary with the SRT Hellcat Silver Bullet Edition and the R/T 20th Anniversary Edition.
The SRT Hellcat gets the supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 engine. It cranks out 710 hp and 645 lb-ft of torque. It helps the Durango accelerate from 60 mph in about 3.5 seconds. Plus, it has a top speed of 180 mph.
If you opt for the R/t 20th Anniversary model then you get the 5.7-liter V8 engine with 360 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque.
The SRT Hellcat Silver Bullet starts at $114,930 while the R/T begins at $68,565. These prices include the $1,595 destination fee.
Both models provide luxury and unique style with suede inserts, carbon fiber trim pieces, special badging, 20-inch wheels, moonroofs, premium audio systems, accent stitching, extra safety features, and upgraded tech. Plus, the R/T model comes with the towing package.
The 2025 Dodge Durango might be the last chance to enjoy V8 power. However, we’ve been fooled by Stellantis a few times before.
