SEMA 2021: 4 Ford F-150 Trucks Previewed
There will be many trucks at SEMA 2021 as they are one of the most popular vehicle types in the country. Thus, there is a massive aftermarket for truck enthusiasts, and Ford is making sure it doesn’t miss out. The American automaker previewed four custom Ford F-150 trucks that will occupy its exhibit this week.
Hellwig 2021 Ford F-150 PowerBoost Hybrid
Suspension company Hellwig is bringing a Ford F-150 PowerBoost Hybrid truck concept to SEMA 2021, tailor-made for the outdoor weekend warrior. Hellwig describes its truck as “the ultimate tool for reaching remote locations for the purpose of relaxation and recreation.”
Hellwig’s concept is based on the Ford F-150 XLT SuperCrew equipped with a 3.5 liter PowerBoost hybrid V6 engine and FX4 off-road package. Hellwig added a set of its sway bars to the front and rear of the truck, as well as its “Pro Series” steel helper springs and suspension kit.
The bed cap has an integrated tent make accommodations easy no matter where the occupants find themselves. There is also an extendable 270-degree awning, refrigerator, and 10-gallon shower rounding out the amenities.
BTR Edition F-150 Tremor
Like the Hellwig, the BTR Edition Ford F-150 Tremor concept is targeted at those who enjoy the great outdoors. Billed as “the ultimate camping vehicle,” the Tremor has nearly everything needed for an extended stay with mother nature.
Accommodations come in the form of a Yakima roof rack with a rooftop tent, built-in shower, and a pull-out kitchen with running water. The ability to cook food at any given moment is always going to get our attention.
To keep accessories charged, there is a built-in Pro Power onboard generator. A refrigerator/freezer keeps provisions fresh, and a projector set up provides entertainment.
Hypertech F-150 Hybrid Lariat
ECU tuner Hypertech has gone with a more subtle treatment on its SEMA 2021 Ford F-150 build. Starting with a Ford F-150 Hybrid Lariat crew cab, Hypertech fitted the truck with a full suite of off-road lighting, cat-back exhaust, and off-road bumpers, all from Ford Performance Parts.
This trim comes with a built-in generator, so Hypertech took full advantage by creating a custom sliding rail system that features an electric grill, fridge/freezer, sink, ice machine, and even a washer and dryer. That might seem weird, but we think it is hard to top the ability to do a load of whites while on the road.
Addictive Desert Designs Ford F-150 Raptor
A 2022 Ford F-150 Raptor is already one of the most aggressive trucks available. So, when truck accessory company Addictive Desert Designs picked one for SEMA 2021, it focused on aesthetics.
Starting with an 80s style racing stripe livery, Addictive Desert Designs added a custom set of wheels with color-contrasting bead locks. The accessory company then bolted on its own off-road front and rear bumpers, bed-mounted tire rack, rock slider steps, and a chase rack.
An off-road lighting kit from RIGID finishes off the retro theme.
