Audi cars are getting new names for 2024 and beyond as the company prepares for a new all-electric future. We’re also going to see a whole new crop of Audi cars coming from Ingolstadt with all new names going forward. For the most part, 2023 cars are just carried over. Then, in 2024 and 2025 the Audi A4 and A6 will go away to make way for the A5 and A7, and we’ll soon get a slew of new E-monikered cars.

The Audi A4 will become the Audi A5

The biggest news from Audi according to Top Car News of England is that the A4 and A6 sedans will get new names. The new cars will won’t really change much, but the new names will help buyers. Every gas-powered Audi car will get an odd number, while every new electric vehicle will get an even number.

We’re expecting to see the next updated A4 car, well A5 car, debut later this year. The A6 should also get a facelift soon, and we think that will coincide with the car becoming the a7. The A8 will become electrified, so that means it will keep its even-numbered name.

Audi is preparing to launch as many as 20 new cars and SUVs in the next two years

Audi’s engineers and designers must be working overtime. We’ve not really seen many new Audi cars or SUVs in the last few years and updates have been sparse. But, that’s going to change, and fast.

For 2024, we will get the new A5 and A6 sedans, a new Q5 SUV, Q8 SUV, Q7 SUV, A6 e-tron, and a new A8 replacement. Audi does a good job of utilizing its platforms in a variety of ways. So, the new A5 will likely come in coupe, sedan, and wagon or “sportback” styling. The A6 e-tron all-electric car will likely get several body styles as well.

A facelifted A3 is on the horizon, but it’s only a facelift for Audi’s smallest car. Same with the tiny Q3 SUV.

When Audi launched the TT sports car, it was a sensation in design and performance. While the second generation of the TT still looks good and goes well, it’s the end of the line for the TT. Same with the R8. The R8 set new supercar standards as an exotic car that you can drive every day.

But that doesn’t mean Audi is abandoning high-performance cars. With those new cars, we will also see some higher performance versions of Audi cars, including new S and RS versions with 550 horsepower and maybe even 700 in the V6 RS7 Performance car, which you can order as a sedan, wagon and sportback wagon. However, we’d really love to see a street going version of the wild E2 rally car.
