At a glance, the striped and topless Mustang is an event. To onlookers in the know, the livery closely matches the U.S. Air Force specialty color scheme. Specifically, the Wings of Pride car incorporates the patriotic paint scheme of the Air Force Thunderbirds, the service’s specialty demonstration team. It’s appropriate that the Shelby Super Snake Speedster would pay homage to thrust-happy F-16s, given the nuclear reactor under the hood.
Upon closer inspection, the details on the Wings of Pride Speedster start to pop out. The white wheels draw attention to the center cap graphics, namely six F-16s in formation. In the car’s interior, a special nameplate graces the double-bubble brow just above the signatures of Shelby President Gary Patterson and Vice President of Operations, Vince LaViolette.

According to Shelby’s website, the Super Snakes typically start from $133,785. Of course, adding features like a widebody upgrade will make that price tag grow. Still, the Super Snakes and Super Snake Speedsters pack supercar performance into a contemporary Ford Mustang. Shelby says the fire-breathing, 825-horsepower Super Snakes will smash a sprint to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds.
