When British luxury brand Jaguar began producing SUVs in 2015, some fans were wary. Accustomed to the automaker’s flashy sports cars, they feared the utility vehicle would bring a clunky body at a high price. 

Now in its sixth year, the Jaguar F-Pace has proven the skeptics wrong. The 2021 model features a full face-lift that has fans even more excited about the luxury vehicle’s future. 

The Jaguar F-Pace continues to prioritize performance

One of the 2021 model’s big selling points has been the availability of a six-cylinder engine. A 2.0-liter turbo-four comes standard, but the Jaguar F-Pace can harness 406 lb-ft of torque with the upgrade, MotorTrend notes. The extra power sees fuel efficiency for city driving suffer slightly — from 22 to 20 mpg — but maintains around 27 mpg on the highway. 

The standard F-Pace comes with a 246-hp engine that can push the compact SUV from 0 to 60 mph in under seven seconds. Despite these powerful specs, Jaguar has prioritized the ease of driving experience expected from their brand. MotorTrend highlighted its “sporty handling” as one of its best features. Fans of classic Jags will be happy to get the same sleek feel in a much more spacious vehicle. 

The 2021 Jaguar F-Pace’s promising performance has made headlines. But this SUV has also never been quieter. 

The 2021 Jaguar F-Pace lets drivers make a (stealthy) statement

In its 2021 Jaguar F-Pace P400 review, Car and Driver highlighted a stark difference between the latest design and its predecessors. Previous models had faced criticism for their cluttered interiors and outdated technology. The 2021 model’s brand-new infotainment system and comfier seats prove Jaguar took the concerns seriously. 

Further ensuring the interior matches the performance (and price), the F-Pace boasts a state-of-the-art noise-cancellation feature aimed at making occupants immune to outside buzz. According to Car and Driver, the cabin was “impressively well-insulated.” The publication’s reviewers noticed some wind whistling, but this might be expected of a vehicle of the F-Pace’s power and speed. It also could be a good thing — the 2021 Rolls-Royce Ghost was notoriously so quiet it made riders motion sick. 

Best of all, nearly all of the Jaguar F-Pace’s flashy new features come standard, giving drivers maximum safety and experience. Notable exceptions are the power liftgate and some glossy paint finishers, but you won’t need those to look cool.

This luxury SUV consistently ranks high in its class

Although the Jaguar F-Pace has no shortage of competition among luxury SUVs, it continues to draw buyers and frequently outranks similar rivals. And though it’s also one of the most expensive compact crossovers, the $49,995 starting MSRP is a little easier to swallow when the interior assists in a complete luxury experience. 

The Jaguar’s design even edges past pricier vehicles like the Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class and Porsche Cayenne, CarsGuide opines. As it turns out, the F-Pace’s strong performance — now coupled with good looks — is nearly irresistible. It’ll be interesting to see where the line goes from here, especially with Jaguar’s announced plans to go fully electric by 2025.
