Say your goodbyes to an old favorite. The Ram 1500 Classic could be facing its final days as the 2025 Ram 1500 provides significant upgrades. Your time to purchase this beast of a work truck is ticking down. The Ram 1500 Classic is being discontinued. 

Is the Ram 1500 Classic being discontinued? 

So far, the Ram 1500 Classic is being discontinued in Canada. This may signal the start of a slow death as it might be discontinued in Mexico next, and eventually in America. 

The Ram 1500 Classic is no longer being built in Canada and will continue to be sold until the existing inventory is depleted. The Classic is still showing in the build configuration for Mexico and the USA, for now. 

Canceling this older model could be to make space for building the latest Ram 1500 generation for 2025. Plus, the electric Ram truck is on the way. 

The Ram 1500 classic could hold on until demand runs out. The Jeep Grand Cherokee Classic remained in production for a few years after the current generation launched. 

But as people turned to the new model for its updated tech and benign options, interest became stagnant. The last model rolled off the line in 2023.

Stellantis may have a helping hand in destroying demand for the Classic as pricing rapidly increased for 2024. 

The Ram Classic starts at $40,700, with the $1,995 destination fee included. You can get the basic Ford F-150 for less than that. Also, the 2025 Ram 1500 starts at $42,270. So, you can go for a brand new Ram for only $1,570 more. 

In 2023, the Classic started at $34,340 with the destination fee included. It has a year-over-year price increase of $6,360. 

There are two trim levels available including the entry-level Tradesman model and the off-road-oriented Warlock model. 

The standard 3.6-liter V6 engine provides 305 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque. Upgrade to the 5.7-liter V8 HEMI for 395 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque. 

If the Ram 1500 Classic is being discontinued in America and Mexico, it’s not official yet. But with the discontinuation of the HEMI engine, rising prices, and a new Ram 1500 generation launching, time could be running out.
