Some 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 Trims Actually Got Cheaper

How much does the 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 cost?
The 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 starts at $39,695, including the $1,995 destination fee. This is for the entry-level Pro model and it’s$700 more than the outgoing model. Also, the destination fee got a $100 increase.
But the SLE trim starts at $51,095, the Elevation starts at $52,795, and the SLT model is $56,795. Each of these options is $1,000 less than the outgoing model. The AT4 cab with the Duramax diesel engine starts at $68,595, which is $500 less.
With the 3.0-liter inline-six Duramax diesel engine, you get 305 hp and 495 lb-ft of torque. This is the standard engine for the trim. The outgoing ATX trim came with the 6.2-liter V8 engine with 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque.
The Duramax diesel engine gets an EPA-estimated 24 mpg in the city and up to 30 mpg on the highway. With the standard gas engine, the Sierra gets an EPA-estimated 18 mpg in the city and up to 20 mpg on the highway.
Also, the standard turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine provides 310 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque. When properly equipped, the Sierra can tow up to 13,300 lbs and carry a payload of up to 2,207 lbs.
