Well, that didn’t take long. Less than 12 hours after reservations were opened for the 2021 Ford Bronco some models are already sold out as the reservation website has been “stampeded.” The volume of reservations made the Bronco site a bit wonky last night. You knew something was up. Now we see that the top-of-the-line Bronco First Edition is already sold out. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. 

With only 3,500 planned to be built the First Edition was expected to be gone in a flash. But not this quick. Maybe this is why the site is working better today; there’s one less model to deal with? Or maybe Ford’s website techs were up all night making sure they had jobs in the morning. Either way, you can get in there now and order to your heart’s content.

So how do you do that? Right now it’s just a matter of placing the reservation along with a refundable $100 deposit. Next, you choose the Ford dealer you want to deal with. That’s it! Later this year the dealer will call you to configure your Bronco and get it set up to be built. By the first half of 2021, you’ll be hosing out the slush and muck from your weekend brush bash. 

So what’s so special about a 2021 First Edition Bronco, anyway?

Here’s the breakdown of features that come with this package:

The outside borrows the Wildtrak exterior while inside it uses the Outer Banks interior. The Mid, High, Lux, and Sasquatch packages are all included. Special identifiers include the First Edition hood, bodyside graphics, Shadow Black hardtop, Safari bar, carpets, leather seats, and unique First Edition bits. 

The Bronco6G forum is compiling some fun stats based on over 500 orders it has received information on. Over 60% of orders are for the four-door. Almost 20% of those reservations are from first-time Ford buyers. Ford has got to be loving that stat. Over 33% of these reservations are from current or previous Wrangler owners. Again, Ford’s loving this. 

Here’s the breakdown of the most popular Bronco packages so far

The least-popular model is the Base, while the two most popular are the sold-out First Edition and the Badlands. Together those two models make up over 50% of all Bronco reservations tracked. The Base and Big Bend models are each under 5%.

As expected, the two states with the most orders so far are Texas and California. Florida, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Georgia, fall right behind. Wyoming and Rhode Island are tied for the least amount of reservations. Thanks, Bronco6G for those fun facts.

Will Ford make more than the 3,500 First Editions planned?
