SPOTTED: The 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe Without Camouflage
SPOTTED! The 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe has been seen in the wild. While Hyundai released updates for the 2021 model that will be sold in other countries, now we’ve seen the North American-spec model. Check out what to expect.
2021 Hyundai Santa Fe updates
When the 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe was revealed in June, it was the abroad version. Now the North American edition has been spotted with a few changes to note. When the 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe was spotted in Palm Springs, California, it took a pivotal eye to notice the small changes.
While the 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe looks very similar to the version that will be sold abroad, the North American model has amber side reflectors on the lamps’ upper corners. The North American Santa Fe also gets a set of 10 spoke wheels that weren’t advertised with the global model.

Other than those features, the American version of the Santa Fe gets the same, more confident look that includes a wider grille connected to new T shaped headlights and daytime running LED lights. There is also a separate set of lights beneath the grille.
Whoever got these spy shots was unable to get any photos of the 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe interior or a glimpse at what’s under the hood. But if the North American version continues to be similar to the model that’s marketed abroad, then we have a few clues as to what to expect.
2021 Hyundai Santa Fe Features
Inside of the 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe cabin, expect to find a push-button shift by wear gear selector, a larger twist knob for driving modes on the center stack, and an optional 10.3″ infotainment center.
The infotainment center should be able to connect to Apple CarPlay and Android auto. Plus, the 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe will have a heads up display and digital cluster display, allowing drivers to view crucial trip information.
The interior has also received a significant refresh for a more luxurious feel. The monochromatic dashboard with new soft-touch materials includes an eye-catching design, and you’ll also see larger, sportier-looking bucket seats to cradle you and your front-seat passenger.
Convenience features may include heated and ventilated seats in the front, heated seats in the rear, keyless entry, remote start, rear seats that fold flat, parking assistance features, and complimentary maintenance.
2021 Hyundai Santa Fe performance
If the 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe has powertrain options from the 2020 model, we can expect to see the 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 185 horsepower and the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that offers 235 horsepower.
The driving modes will include optional all-wheel-drive, allowing drivers to take this sporty SUV through snow and other slippery conditions. Also, safety features include forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, and more.
We will have to wait to learn more. Another possibility with the American Hyundai Santa Fe includes the possibility of gaining the hybrid powertrain. Pricing should still begin around $28k, but that information for the 2021 model hasn’t been released yet.
