Thief uses stolen Ford Bronco to climb over police cruisers blocking a Tim Hortons drive-thru [Video]
Police in Mississauga, a city near Toronto, Canada, recently responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle near a local shopping mall. They found the Ford Bronco at a Tim Hortons drive-thru and quickly determined it was stolen.
According to the Peel Regional Police Department’s press release, authorities attempted to block the 25-year-old driver, Ramanpreet Singh. Instead, Singh used the Bronco to crawl on top of the cruisers, quickly crushing one’s hood and windshield.
Fortunately, the cruisers were empty. Police ultimately arrested Singh.
Broncos are known for their off-road capabilities. The entry-level Ford Bronco Sport trim comes standard with four-wheel drive and all-season tires. Built for rugged environments, drivers can select up to five different terrain modes.
With an almost nine-foot wheelbase and nearly six-foot height, crawling and climbing rocky surfaces is certainly encouraged, especially with the Bronco Raptor. Of course, none are built to boulder over the law in a Tim Hortons parking lot.
Peel Regional Police patrol Brampton and Mississauga, two of the largest cities in Ontario, Canada. Singh now faces multiple charges, including possession of stolen property, flight from police, and dangerous driving.
