As one might expect, the condition of this remarkable example is essentially flawless. Though it does have some modifications, it’s offered for sale on consignment from its original owner, who bought it brand new in June 2001, according to the Carfax report found in the Autotrader listing.

The asking price of this car is $39,900. While that may seem mighty high to some, it’s worth keeping in mind that the price of collectible cars, especially performance-oriented Japanese cars, is at a remarkable all-time high. According to Subaru, the WRX was first released in 1992. However, the US Market did not get its first taste of the rally-inspired legend until the 2002 model year. Its one owner has maintained it quite well, too. The listing states that it has a new timing belt, a new water pump, and a full inspection and replacement of gaskets throughout the engine. It also includes all the original dealership documentation and paperwork.

Despite what seems like a reasonable asking price, a collectible vehicle in this niche doesn’t exactly come with a long list of potential buyers. However, it is very exciting to get to see a Subaru Impreza WRX in this remarkable condition.
