A lot of unique vehicles have passed through the MotorBiscuit portals but we feel remiss in not knowing about this one before. Behold the Valarra Corvette. No, it’s not exotic but it looks like one. It is a body kit for a C6 Chevy Corvette. Valarra, out of Pinellas Park, Florida, has done an excellent job of hiding the origins of this body conversion. You can have the supercar of your dreams for a fraction of the cost.

When you start with a C6 Corvette you can’t go mild

But it will still cost you. The kit sells for $18,000. Yeah, the body is aggressive-looking. When you start with a C6 Corvette you can’t go mild. You have to juice it up a few notches. Or in this case more than a few.

Other than the roof panels every body panel has been replaced. Especially changing the shape of the side windows helps to erase the identity of the donor car. The design of the front and back are so removed from what a Corvette looks like that they also help with the transformation.

The sharp sculpture lines make your eye follow them like the lower side skirt that visually projects up to the rear. Also, the undercut running through the middle of the body does the same. Yeah, there is a lot going on. Would you call it “overwrought?” Some would.

The rear end is a mass of vents, wings, taillights, and tailpipes

The rear end is a mass of vents, wings, taillights, and tailpipes that give it a busy but interesting look. Coming up on the Valarra from the rear you would have no clue what was sitting at the stoplight in front of you. With fewer wings and slightly toned down details, this could be a handsome rig. For us, it is a little over-the-top.

Mid-engine Corvettes are becoming like palm trees around here

If you like the proportions of a front-engine vehicle as opposed to the cab-forward look of the mid-engine Corvette, this might be a good alternative. And it would be much more unique. We’re already seeing new Corvettes every day in the Los Angeles area. Mid-engine Corvettes are becoming like palm trees around here. Not so the Valarra Corvette.

We’ve always liked the C6 Corvette. It’s the C5 that always leaves us a bit cold. Almost like a C6 that was left in the oven too long, it looks like it is starting to meltdown like a stick of warm butter. So we wouldn’t mind seeing this happen to a C5. We also don’t mind that it is a C6, as there are multitudes of them.
