According to a recent iSeeCars study, Tesla’s electric vehicle lineup tops the list of the most-driven EVs of the past three years. Every one of the EV automaker’s options exceeded 9,000 miles as an annual average.
Moreover, luxury electric cars from legacy European automakers Audi, Jaguar, and Porsche also made the list, despite steep price tags compared to budget models like the Chevrolet Bolt EV and Hyundai Ioniq. However, none of the EVs matched the averages for conventional gas-powered vehicles; ICE car owners put an average of 12,758 miles on their vehicles over the last three years.
How many miles does a Tesla Model X battery last?
The most recent Tesla Model X electric SUVs have an average EPA-rated range of 341 miles on a single charge. As a result, the Model X is the second longest-legged EV in the automaker’s lineup.
Moreover, with an average annual mileage of 10,378 miles, Model X owners drove more than any other electric vehicle in the last three years. However, with an average price of $76,193, the Model X is the second most expensive luxury electric car in the top 12 most-driven EVs.
Which Tesla Model S has the longest range?
The Tesla Model S has the longest range for the 2023 model year, accounting for the current absence of the Long Range trim. Specifically, Tesla says the Model S has a single-charge range of up to 405 miles, the most of any 2023 Tesla model.
Still, with an average annual mileage of 9,340, the Model S is the most-driven luxury electric sedan in iSeeCars’ study. In fact, Model S owners covered about 281 miles over the nationwide average for EV owners over the past three years.
How far can an Audi e-tron go on a full charge?
According to EPA estimates, the Audi e-tron Sportback will cover an average of 218 miles on a single charge. However, despite a lower average range than the Jaguar I-PACE and Tesla Model X, the e-tron is pricier than many competitors at an average of $53,602.
Still, even with a much more stress-inducing single-charge range than Tesla models, Audi e-tron owners drove an average of 7,210 miles per year. Although that figure puts it ahead of a comparable Jaguar I-PACE, the e-tron is well behind the average for ICE car owners.
The Jaguar I-PACE is one of the most-driven EVs in America
Jaguar’s electric crossover, the I-PACE, might be a bit of a sales let-down in the American market, but owners drove it more than cheaper EV options. Specifically, I-PACE owners added an annual average of 6,910 miles to their odometers.
Can a Taycan beat a Tesla?
The Porsche Taycan may channel the sharp aesthetic of track-ready 911s, but it falls short of the Tesla Model S in nearly every facet. The top-trim Model S Plaid will outrun and outlast a comparable Taycan with ease.
Moreover, iSeeCars reports that Taycan owners drove their luxury electric cars just 4,846 miles per year, nearly 4,500 miles short of Model S owners. Still, with an average price of around $117,484, the Taycan is more expensive than any other EV in the mileage study.
