Why Is The Honda Ridgeline Ranked #1? 

The 2020 Honda Ridgeline still incorporates crucial updates from 2017 that placed it at the top of the list and has continued to grow in popularity as a comfortable and capable truck. 

But we don’t think part of its superiority could come from its price. The Ridgeline starts around $33k while the Raptor and Tacoma are more moderately priced around $24k. 

Also, the Ridgeline is pretty average in terms of fuel efficiency. It gets up to 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. This is pretty much on par with its competition. 

A look At Honda Ridgeline Power 

Despite getting complaints for having a car-like unibody instead of a body on frame, the Ridgeline is still powerful. It can tow up to 3,500 to 5,000 pounds depending on which trim you choose. 

The Ford Ranger can only tow up to 3,500 lb, which is a little embarrassing. However, the Toyota Tacoma can tow up to 6,800 lb, which attracts a variety of buyers. 

You may think that the Honda Ridgeline is weak by only having an output of 280 horsepower, but it’s 3.5-liter V6 direct-injected engine is a beast with 262 lb-ft of torque. It can go 0 to 60 in 7.2 seconds. This speed is also on par with its competitors.

One thing that shocked us, though, is the fact the Honda Ridgeline isn’t offered in 4×4. It’s only available in all-wheel drive. 

However, it has low traction modes that are suited for ice and snow as well as driving modes for mud and snow. Plus, it’s crossover-like body add more stability for a smoother ride.

One of the highest-ranking factors for the Ridgeline is its interior space. By having up to 108.9 cubic feet of space for passengers to enjoy. 

It also has an independent rear suspension that enhances handling and provides a smoother ride. People love riding around in this comfy truck.
