Buying an SUV with a higher resale value can be beneficial in the long run. Some SUVs retain more value than others. You may think that the SUV with the least depreciation comes from Toyota or Honda, but the Jeep Wrangler actuallyretains the most value. 

The Jeep Wrangler is the SUV with the best resale value 

While Toyota SUVs like the 4Runner and Land Cruiser are valued for being durable and long-lasting, the Jeep Wrangler actually beats them by having the best resale value. 

Let’s be honest here, the Wrangler is a bit more legendary than the top Toyota options because it helped win World War II. It has been popular ever since. 

As a result of its history and off-roading capabilities, it has an incredibly low depreciation rate. It only loses 30 to 35% of its value over 10 years of ownership. The loyal fanbase is always standing by to snag a good deal on new and used models.

The Toyota 4Runner is another rugged beast with a high resale value. Plus, it has an available third row, allowing it to carry two more passengers than the Wrangler. 

Like the Wrangler, it has a durable body-on-frame construction and impressive off-roading capabilities. It may have an advantage by being one of the most reliable SUVs you can buy.

Over about 10 years of ownership, the 4Runner will depreciate by about 35 to 45%. It isn’t far behind the Wrangler at all. 

The Toyota Highlander is another SUV with an excellent resale value. While it lacks a few off-roading features compared to the Jeep Wrangler, a 4Runner, it makes up for the difference with cargo space and comfort. 

It’s modern, and safe, and provides families with a reliable option for road trips and adventures. It retains about 50 to 55% of its value over 10 years of ownership. 

On the list of the top SUVs with the best resale values, there aren’t any Honda or Ford vehicles. The other two options included are the Toyota Land Cruiser, which was discontinued in America for a little bit, and the luxurious Porsche Macan. 

But none of them are able to keep up with the Jeep Wrangler.
