Toyota’s new Tacoma TRD lift kit is compatible with any 2020 or newer Tacoma with a V6 engine and 4×4 powertrain. Excluding the TRD Pro model, of course. It doesn’t exactly need this enhancement because a skid plate, TRD tuned suspension, and Fox shocks are all part of the TRD Pro features list.

How much does the TRD lift kit for a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck cost?

According to Toyota’s press release, the MSRP for this dealer-installed TRD lift kit is $1,350. That doesn’t include the 4 to 5 hours of labor it takes to add this to your truck. But it’s still not astronomical. Toyota’s new Tacoma TRD lift kit includes some pretty sweet enhancements. For many, this added cost will totally prove worth it. The lift kit adds height to the Tacoma’s stance. Two inches up front and one inch in the rear, according to Toyota. The kit increases the ground clearance by 1.7 inches. New Bilstein shocks are part of the enhanced TRD suspension. One of the primary reasons consumers are likely to love this lift package is that it includes a new grille that looks like those found standard on the TRD Pro model.

It’s also the only Tacoma lift kit that is considered completely Toyota Safety Sense )TSS compatible. That means that Toyota’s new dealer-installed lift kit won’t hinder your safety features. The only exception other than 4-cylinder and 2WD models is that the kit is not compatible with the Double Cab Long Bed models or the TRD Pro (duh).

Can I add the lift kit to my Tacoma?

Toyota specifies that this lift kit is meant to be dealer-installed. While there are other aftermarket lift kits out there, this one is fully compatible with TSS. Additionally, it’s a great way to get an authentic TRD Pro grille added to your Taco.
