Terrain
The GMC Terrain is a compact SUV model produced by the General Motor Company (GMC), a subsidiary of General Motors. The Terrain is the smallest SUV sold by GMC. It is sized and priced below the Acadia midsize SUV and the Yukon full-size SUV.
The GMC Terrain made its official debut at the 2009 New York International Auto Show. It was introduced as a replacement for the Pontiac Torrent before the closure of the Pontiac brand in 2010. Elsewhere, its Chevrolet counterpart under the GM umbrella is the Chevy Equinox.
Currently in its second generation, which premiered in 2017, the GMC Terrain’s rivals in the compact SUV class include the Honda CR-V, the Jeep Cherokee, the Mazda CX-5, the Subaru Forester, and the Toyota RAV4.
