gt-r
The Nissan GT-R is a high-performance sports car and GT (grand tourer) with some of its editions referred to as supercars. It is produced and sold by the Nissan Motor Corporation. Incredibly expensive, the GT-R is priced above the outgoing Nissan 370Z coupe roadster sports car and its upcoming replacement, the seventh generation of the Nissan Z.
The Nissan GT-R is a globally-sold model replacement for the Nissan Skyline GT-R. The Skyline GT-R was only manufactured in Japan, and it was exported to only a handful of markets. During its production run, it earned the nickname “Godzilla” due to its monster performance.
Aside from its abundance of performance, the Nissan GT-R is also known for its customization options and special editions, with over a dozen editions and packages available over the years. Altogether, this repertoire of the GT-R finds rivals in the Acura NSX, the Audi R8, the BMW i8, the Jaguar F-Type SVR, the Lexus LC500, the Mercedes-AMG GT R, and the Porsche 911 GT3.
About Nissan
- 2021 Nissan GT-R (Starting MSRP $113,540)
- Pros: The Nissan GT-R high-performance sports car does not lack power or fun with incredible acceleration and superb driving dynamics, and it comes with standard all-wheel drive.
- Cons: While the Nissan GT-R looks very lovely, it doesn’t look and feel as extravagant as its price tag would suggest. That makes most of its rivals cost less with the same performance or cost the same with more performance.
