id.3
The Volkswagen ID.3 is an electric compact car produced by the Volkswagen group. It is the first vehicle in the Volkswagen ID. (Intelligent Design) series of EVs. However, the VW ID.3 is currently only available for sale in Europe.
The Volkswagen ID.3 was first introduced at the 2016 Paris Motor Show as the Volkswagen I.D. concept vehicle. The ID.3 was presented as the first in an upcoming lineup of all-electric vehicles and as a successor to the Volkswagen e-Golf.
Pre-orders for the Volkswagen ID.3 were opened in 2019 and were almost immediately filled. The production model for sale debuted at the 2019 International Motor Show in Germany. A year later, in 2020, the first deliveries of the ID.3 commenced.
Additional Volkswagen ID. Series EV models have already been produced, such as the ID.4 compact SUV, and many more are in development, including the ID. Buzz microbus and the ID. Space Vizzion wagon.
Competitors of the Volkswagen ID.3’s electric compact hatchback build include the Chevy Bolt, the Kia Niro EV, the Nissan Leaf, and the Tesla Model 3.
